The Academy for Cinematic Art and Animation was founded in 2023 by an Unreal Authorized Instructor and is located in Stillwater, Oklahoma, the home of the Meridian Technology Center and Oklahoma State University.
Our mission is to provide affordable, quality, online education in cinematic art and animation using Unreal Engine.
CORE PRINCIPLES
ALL COURSE CONTENT MUST BE CONTINUALLY UPDATED AND IMPROVED
Unreal Engine is constantly evolving and improving, and our courses must continue to evolve and improve right along with it. For this reason, all of our courses are considered living courses, which means they are updated as necessary and updated annually to change as the engine does.
ALL COURSES MUST BE PROJECT-BASED AND HAVE A PRACTICAL OUTCOME
No course is offered that does not result in a tangible and practical outcome. In other words, no one leaves empty handed. Every course must end with a portfolio-ready outcome.
CREATE CONTENT AS IF FOR ONE'S SELF
Underlying everything we do is the desire to create content we wish had been available to us when we were first starting out. This means that our courses must be affordable, comprehensive, and of high quality.
EVERYONE IS A STUDENT
We can't maintain the other principles if we ourselves are not pushing ourselves to stay current and learn as much as we can; therefore, our instructors must continually advance and expand their knowledge of the engine the same as students are expected to do.
